The Indian National Anthem is actually a prayer, which can be translated in this way:<\/p>\n<p><em>You are the ruler of the minds of all people,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Dispenser of India\u2019s destiny.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Your name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat and Maratha,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Of the Dravida, Utkala and Bengal;<\/em><br \/>\n<em>It echoes in the hills of the Vindhyas and Himalayas,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>mingles in the music of Yamuna and Ganga and is<\/em><br \/>\n<em>chanted by the waves of the Indian Ocean.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>They pray for Your blessings and sing Your praise.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>The saving of all people waits in Your hand,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>You dispenser of India\u2019s destiny.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Victory, victory, victory to You.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Jesus is the God who is described in this prayer, although the poet Nobel prize winner Rabindranath Tagore did not realize it.
